James B is a Member who has found employment, passion through service, and even his wife at UFCU!

As a senior quality control analyst, James spends the majority of his time working to ensure that others in the organization have everything they need to get their jobs done to the highest standard. Although he may not speak directly to Members on a daily basis, he takes pride in the opportunity he has to serve the community through Member and employee advocacy. He is passionate about his work, and believes that his tenure at UFCU has made a profound difference in his life. James says, “My time at UFCU working for our Members has defined who I am as a professional. I love coming to work each day knowing I’m surrounded by other professionals who are passionate about helping others.”

James even met his wife at UFCU! They married in 2019. When James isn’t working to raise the bar for standards at the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife on the lake and playing board or video games with friends and family. With family members who live on Lake Travis, it’s no surprise to find him boating, fishing, or swimming during the warm three quarters of the year. Around town, James likes to visit all the different local watering holes, and look for the next best dive to grab a bite or beverage. His advice is to stay near the water: “Considering the best way to survive Texas summers is to keep wet, you can usually find me at Barton Springs, the Greenbelt, or floating on a river or lake. And after some laps around “Loop 1,” I’ve found that Home Slice and Pinthouse Pizza are consistently great places to grab a slice!”
