UFCU Tops Austin’s “Best of” Awards Once Again
Austin, TEXAS, October 30, 2020 — Central Texans have spoken — and for the third consecutive year, they have named UFCU as the “Best of the Best” when it comes to banking services.
UFCU topped two banking-related categories in the Austin American Statesman’s 2020 “Best of the Best Awards,” announced today.
UFCU, Austin’s largest locally-owned financial institution, was named Best of the Best Mortgage Lender and Best Bank. Thousands of votes were cast in the awards competition.
These awards follow other 2020 accolades for UFCU’s banking services. Previously this year, the Austin Business Journal named UFCU as Austin’s top credit union for the fifth consecutive year. In addition, the Journal ranked UFCU as Austin’s top mortgage company, closing more than twice as many Austin-area residential mortgages in 2019 as any other lender. Senior Legal Counsel David Courreges garnered the Journal’s 2020 Top Attorney in Austin designation, and the credit union earned the prestigious Outstanding Philanthropic Large Corporation honor by the Association of Professional Fundraisers Greater Austin Chapter.
“We are humbled by the trust and confidence the Austin community has placed in us,” said Tony C Budet, UFCU president/CEO. “Our mission, to help change lives and strengthen all of the communities we serve, is one that the entire UFCU team is passionate about.”
