Emmy Alcocer-Hill, UFCU Retail Deposit Product Manager, Named Chamber Rising Star

Austin, TEXAS, April 20, 2018 – University Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce that Emmy Alcocer-Hill, Retail Deposit Product Manager at UFCU, has been selected as this year’s Rising Star honoree by the Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. The award, which honors a Latina who has distinguished herself as a future community leader among her respective industry peers, was presented at the chamber’s Annual Capital of Texas Awards “Recognizing Latina Industry Leaders” Luncheon.

“Emmy is a six-year UFCU veteran and a true rising star at our organization,” said Tony Budet, UFCU president/CEO. “She has risen steadily through the ranks since joining UFCU in 2012, and I’m pleased that the Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce has chosen to recognize her with this award.”

Alcocer-Hill joined UFCU as Financial Center Manager in April 2012. Less than two years later, she was promoted to Business Products and Services Manager. She was named Retail Deposit Product Manager last August and is responsible for UFCU’s retail deposit product development, focusing on creating products that empower Members to succeed financially. She also serves on several internal committees charged with making UFCU one of the best places to work in Austin.

Alcocer-Hill received her bachelor’s degree from New Mexico State University. She is an active leader in the Austin community and currently serves on the American Heart Association “Go Red for Women” Executive Leadership Team and Austin Young Chamber Foundation Board. She is a past chair of the Austin Young Chamber of Commerce and an alumna of the Hispanic Austin Leadership and Leadership Austin Emerge programs.
