Help for Members Dealing with Potential Interruption of Federal Government Payments
Due to the federal government not reaching an agreement to raise the debt ceiling, UFCU understands your daily life might be impacted and is prepared to help.
Deferred Payments on existing loans
Members affected due to delayed receipt of federal electronic funds transfers (e.g., Social Security) can request deferred payment on any UFCU loan, including mortgage loans and credit cards, for up to 90 days.
Delayed payment for new personal loans
Affected members can request a signature loan with special terms. The first payment may be deferred up to 90 days.
Fee refunds
When an overdraft occurs due to non-receipt of a federal government electronic funds transfer, members can request a refund of fees for related non-sufficient funds and overdrafts on their UFCU checking accounts.
