UFCU Loan Officers Ranked Among Top 250 Latino Mortgage Originators Nationwide

Austin, TEXAS, June 22, 2021 — UFCU, Austin’s largest locally owned financial institution, this month continued its recognition as one of the best mortgage lenders in the country, with eight of its mortgage specialists named among the top Latino loan originators in the US.

The prestigious National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals’ annual Top 250 Latino Mortgage Originators list recognizes outstanding Latino mortgage lenders from around the country. The report ranks top individuals and teams nationwide and by major market regions. More than 1,200 mortgage originators were nominated for the seventh annual award.

Eight UFCU loan officers ranked among the nation’s Top 250 mortgage lenders nationwide, and eight also ranked among the Top 100 in the 11-state region encompassing Texas. Four made the Top 100 list based on loan volume.

The national rankings echo numerous other UFCU’s mortgage services accolades. For five consecutive years, UFCU has ranked as Austin’s top mortgage company by the Austin Business Journal. It has been twice named Austin’s Best of the Best mortgage company by the Austin American-Statesman. Earlier this year, all 24 UFCU loan officers made the national 2021 Scotsman Guide Top Originator list by number of loans closed, and 19 loan officers ranked by loan volume. In 2020, UFCU closed a total of 5,521 mortgages, and total mortgage loan volume exceeded $1.6 billion.
