UFCU Takes Clean Sweep of Austin’s 2018 Best of Best Awards

Austin, October 12, 2018 —  In the inaugural year of the Austin American Statesman’s “Best of the Best Awards,” University Federal Credit Union (UFCU) took top honors in three banking-related categories.

UFCU, Austin’s largest locally-owned financial institution, was named Best of the Best Credit Union, Best Mortgage Lender, and Best Bank.  More than 250,000 votes were cast in the awards competition. 

The Best Mortgage Lender award comes on the heels of being named Austin’s top mortgage producer by the Austin Business Journal in 2018, for the third consecutive year. UFCU was the only credit union listed among the Journal’s top 10 in 2018.

The member-owned lending cooperative also leads all Austin credit unions and locally-owned banks in member-customer base and deposits, with more than $2.7 billion in assets and nearly a quarter-million members.
