UFCU to Partner with Midwest Loan Services, Inc.

We are pleased to announce that effective May 1, 2008 University Federal Credit Union will (UFCU) be partnering with Midwest Loan Services, Inc. (MLS) for the servicing of your mortgage loan. University Federal Credit Union has not sold your mortgage loan. We have simply partnered with MLS to provide you with their expertise in this area. The transfer of servicing does not affect any terms or conditions of your mortgage documents other than the terms directly related to the servicing of the loan.

There are a variety of convenient payment options for you. These options include automatic monthly, semi-monthly, bi-weekly, Internet, and speedpay by phone payments. The free automatic monthly payment service is the most secure and hassle free way to make payments. Please call the Customer Service Department at (866) 610-UFCU (8328), and a representative will be happy to assist you.

Mortgage payments should continue to be made payable to University Federal Credit Union. Payments made on or after May 1, 2008, should contain your new loan number and mailed to the following address:

• Beginning May 1st mortgage loan information can be accessed on UFCU Online Banking website (www.ufcu.org). After the sign in is complete, click on mortgage account, and the link will redirect you to Midwest online services without having to sign in again. You will be able to access your mortgage status and history:

  • Review transaction history
  • Make online payments
  • Utilize the amortization schedule
  • Retrieve Year End Statement
  • Review Escrow Information, if applicable

In January 2009, you will receive two-mortgage tax and interest statements (1098), one from (Prior Servicer) from 01/01/08 through 04/30/08 and one from Midwest Loan Services, Inc. from 05/01/08 through 12/31/08.
